’80s super‑group The Power Station — Robert Palmer, Tony Thompson, and Duran Duran’s John & Andy Taylor — celebrate the 40th anniversary of their debut with a massive 4‑CD Deluxe Box Set featuring a new 2025 remaster, rare mixes, instrumentals, Live Aid recordings, and a full unreleased 1985 concert.

- Disc 2: single remixes, raw studio instrumentals, and the band’s Live Aid performance (with Michael Des Barres).
- Discs 3 & 4: a previously unreleased live show from The Spectrum, Philadelphia, Aug. 21, 1985 — newly mixed by Richard Whittaker and sounding superb.
Formed in 1984 during a Duran Duran hiatus, the band teamed with Chic drummer Tony Thompson and vocalist Robert Palmer, delivering a sleek rock/pop hybrid produced by Bernard Edwards. Their debut spawned the huge hits “Some Like It Hot” and “Get It On,” both Top 10 smashes.
Robert Palmer only performed live with the group once (SNL, Feb. 1985) before stepping away; the subsequent tour and Live Aid appearance featured Michael Des Barres, whose performances are included here.
Bassist John Taylor calls revisiting the project “exciting,” praising Thompson’s powerhouse drumming, Andy Taylor’s fiery guitar work, and Palmer’s brilliance as a songwriter and vocalist.
This anniversary edition finally brings together the definitive remaster, rare mixes, historic Live Aid audio, and a full pro‑mixed 1985 concert — the most complete Power Station document ever assembled.
