Emerging from the depths of Paris, TOWERING embodies a brutal force of blackened death metal, merging old-school savagery with modern dissonance and apocalyptic grandeur. Since their acclaimed debut album, Obscuring Manifestation (2019) – praised for its crushing riffs, oppressive atmosphere, and relentless precision – the band has established itself as one of the most ferocious and visionary collectives in the French extreme scene.

With a now-refined lineup that is more devastating than ever – T.J.S. (vocals/lead guitars), Christnacht (guitars), Arboria (bass), and Mortem (drums) – TOWERING returns with The Oblation of Man, a monolithic evolution of their sonic alchemy. Drawing from the primal rage of Morbid Angel, the dissonant chaos of Ulcerate, and the tribal darkness of Svart Crown, their music unleashes a whirlwind of crushing grooves, hypnotic melodies, and suffocating darkness – each track a ritual of sonic annihilation.

Their debut was described as "one of the best black/death metal albums of 2019" (No Clean Singing) and "a masterpiece of blackened death" (Angry Metal Guy), combining aggression, heaviness, and spectral atmospheres into an unrelenting assault. With The Oblation of Man, TOWERING plunges deeper into the abyss, offering an even more refined, brutal, and immersive experience – where each riff cuts like a blade, and each track resonates like a descent into madness.

Recommended if you like: Ulcerate, Svart Crown…
