LORD TRACY are best remembered for their 1989 MCA Records release “Deaf Godz Of Babylon”, a cult favorite among late‑’80s hard rock fans. Metal diehards also know frontman Terry Glaze as the very first vocalist of PANTERA, long before the band shifted into groove‑metal territory. However you came across them, LORD TRACY were never a band to overlook.
They scored two MTV‑rotated videos — the rowdy anthem “Out With The Boys”, which climbed to #40 on the Billboard mainstream charts, and the power ballad “Foolish Love”. The band eventually split around 1993, with all members moving on to other music‑related projects.
In the 2000s, original members Terry Glaze, Kinley Wolfe (bass), and Chris Craig (drums) reunited, adding guitarist Brian Harris to complete the lineup. Together they recorded a full “comeback album” titled “Porn Again”, self‑released and sold exclusively at their shows.
Now FnA Records is resurrecting this lost album with a newly remastered CD edition, still titled Porn Again but featuring brand‑new artwork. As the band themselves put it:
“Porn Again is what happens when friends get together to jam and things just start coming together.”
And the title? A fun bit of trivia: LORD TRACY originally took their name from Traci Lords, one of the most infamous adult‑film actresses of the mid‑’80s — she even appeared in the music video for “Gimme Gimme Good Lovin’” by Canadian rockers HELIX.
A long‑buried chapter of LORD TRACY’s history finally gets the proper treatment — a must for fans of late‑’80s/early‑’90s hard rock with attitude.
