metalstorm.netCrafting a sound that is both massive and delicate, Hamasaari brings together several strands of past and present progressive rock. Inspired by the great names of the genre such as Pink Floyd, Klone, Porcupine Tree and Karnivool, they chisel and polish the contours of a musical and sensory journey. Born from the ashes of the band Shuffle, this more serene and melancholic group takes us on a stormy ritual, invoking images like raindrops, scattering welcome rays of hope in a cloudy and dark discourse.
The album ‘Pictures’ symbolises frames, paintings, dimensions, what we put inside and outside them. It is inspired by myths and legends, ancient civilisations, our dreams, reality and fiction. It questions our beliefs, fears, needs and fundamental quests. HamaSaari draws inspiration from the great names of early and modern progressive rock, from Pink Floyd to Karnivool, Oceansize and Black Peaks, as well as the post-rock, folk and alternative scenes (Other Lives, LANKUM and Birds in Row). The inspiration comes mainly from music that is expressed from the heart and shared without limits.
